Periodontal Treatments

Gingivitis is an inflammation of the gums characterized by swollen, tender and red gums. Also, it may cause persistent bad breath. If it is left untreated can progress to affect the bone and structures that supports and surrounds the teeth causing them to get loose. It is important to be aware and consult us if any of those symptoms occur. Treatment includes cleanings/scaling the pockets around teeth to remove plaque and calculus and to prevent damage to surrounding bone. Advanced cases may require surgery.
